TANGIBILITY

Tangibility conveys aesthetic elements of the roadside facilities, such as architectural styles and designs, their current uses and status. These significant features of the properties evaluate preservation or transition of the roadside facilities. The project also examines clustering, the historic phenomenon of service stations, restaurants, and motels grouped, before the advent of interstates, as a relevant component of the historical continuity of Route 66.
